TS-IR [pronounced “TSIR”], is short for The Style Is Real, a South African born company. It offers a distinctive clothing range, encompassing a clean urban and street fashion style, with complementary colours and designs across various types and ranges of apparel. The name TS-IR is a spin-off of the common phrase: “The Struggle Is Real”. TS-IR symbolises and embodies the ability of us all to go through our struggles and life’s difficulties, in-style. It speaks to the courage and fighting spirit in all of us – enabling us to get back up when knocked down.
Currently, the company offers statement socks with bold patterns. The brand design and representation on the products are easily distinguishable from competitors, making TS-IR’s offering unique. TS-IR’s vision and mission is to reinvigorate the fashion industry by introducing an exciting and vibrant unisex clothing brand.
Our Roots
The founder of TS-IR, KT, is an award-winning industrial automation engineer turned fashion-aficionado. His consistent and unique personal fashion style earned him the nickname Tony (with reference to the character Tony from The Sopranos of the 1990’s). For years he has been nurturing his entrepreneurial and fashion inclinations, which inevitably led to the establishment of TS-IR in 2017. Tony is an unconventional fashion enthusiast due to his unusual attention to detail, systematic process thinking and meticulous nature. He possesses a rare ability which combines systematic logic with an inspired arts outlook.
